I hope there is more and maybe add some video shots of their workouts.
I know its only wishful thinking, but I’d like to see local television (Khon, Kitv etc) sports run a story or two about these workouts. Just maybe by doing that, some fans might return to Aloha Stadium again and support our 2018 Warrior football team. They need all the publicity they can get as they prepare for the 2018 season.
Stephen how about mention that suggestion to the Sportscasters of our local television station?

Because Hawaii lacked power, I think Aliviado sacrificed his batting average for home runs.

If Hawaii had any hitting talent during his career, Aliviado, in his junior and senior seasons, could have batted .300 or higher, and increased his chances of playing minor league ball.

Matt Cooper had a lights-out senior season because he skipped Summer League ball.

From what I can tell, he found marital bliss.

Married with child.

But I am disappointed he voluntarily retired.

Quintin Torres-Costa seems to be having Cooper’s career.

Same high strikeouts-per nine innings ratio.

You were a friend and mentor. I worked for you in the Promotions Dept at UHAD while I was a student at UH in the early 80’s. In later years, I’d visit you in Las Vegas when the Warriors were playing UNLV. You will be missed.

Dylan could be a starter next season , per Trapasso. Hope he doesn’t wear out his arm in the Cape Cod league.

At College of Marin (Jr. College) this year, he was 13-0 with a 1.34 ERA:

He batted .228 in Rookie League ball.

He is still in Rookie League ball.

Austin Rubick went in the twentieth round and signed with the Brewers.

He went 2-2 with an ERA of 6.14 in Rookie League ball.

He is still in Rookie League ball.

Conversely, Eric Ramirez was drafted out of high school, and unfortunately, if he wants to continue his baseball career, he’ll have to go the Independent League route.

It worked for Patrick Scallibrini.

Kaeo Aliviado and Max Duval were on the same indie team and the latter is pitching at AA.

Like Hawaii recruit Chris Allen, Iolana Akau was drafted in the twentieth round.

Joey O’Brien’s draft position is similar to Homza’s.

It’s a crapshoot.

2013 recruits Jake Bauers and Kean Wong are probably on the cusp of making their dreams come true.

Blake Taylor, a second round draft pick, is at Class A Advanced. He is 2-2 with an ERA of 3.83, which are great numbers when you consider that he finally has a sample size of his potential. Taylor’s first four seasons were riddled with injuries.

David Denison is out…of baseball.
