Same for Byrd and Ward. We’ve always read the hype for this player and that player over the years and it just did not materialize as hyped. So its been a real surprise to see Jojo Ward be everything that has been written about him. Cedric Byrd’s surprise success has not been so much of a surprise because we saw him in spring. You just hoped he would deliver under the bright lights. And he HAS !!! In spades. Cole’s long, vertical passes are things of beauty. Hits his receiver in full stride. Haven’t seen that in awhile. I refrain from saying someone named Colt because there was a QB named Sean during the Chow era who could deliver the long ball.
