You could even run counters using Reed’s ability to jump cut and change direction. Just to keep defenses off balance. Plus Holly runs way better (real good actually) out of pistol (he is not a good RPO runner at all). RPO should be used only if the QB is a real running threat (McDonald had two nice reads where he ran 10+ yards). You can always run play action off what would look like designed runs keeping the defense really “off balance”. The RPO just isn’t confusing anybody except our O-line, Holly, and Reed that one fumble. Furuta however is way better in RPO. That guy freezes LB’s. Got to recruit Big RB’s for RPO to work well in this system.

Lincoln Victor is much, much faster. 4.5 sec. 40, 10.9 sec (PR) 100 meter. You would think the Washington State 4A player of the year would have more than one FBS scholie offer. I think in addition to speed, power and determination, there is a huge chip/chunk on his shoulder. If he keeps this up, great things will happen for him, and our team.

Re: Lopati, I was at that game as well. Junior was hit way, way back in end zone. Was there even a penalty? He was never the same.

At least consider it some. And then one day a recruit a TE/H onegaishimasu.

Even when June Jones ran it. The ability to install packaged units in certain situations to take advantage of stuff such as physical mismatches. The same four (or five) every play, unless somebody gets hurt (or ejected; that’s how we got to see Mardner). Too bad.

Got lots of different sizes and skillsets (Victor’s skillset is way different than the other slots, complements Stovall’s) that could be inserted when the situation dictates. Might even open up rushing lanes so the run game can operate with less congestion. Something to at least think about. Using the whole group.

Me and my dad was in the north end zone and watched the play. He already scored (south end zone) and IIRC, the SDS guy still hit him from behind. Yes, I do believe he would have made it to the bigs if not for that one play.

I have all of my hair, but I remember Junior Lopati getting injured in the end zone after a long run. So, so sad. That guy looked like he was destined for the NFL.
