University of Buffalo offensive line has blocked for a back that rushed for 242 yards 5 TDs in the first half vs Kent State (had 301 last game) where he was mostly untouched on some long runs. They have also not allowed a sack in their 3 games so far this season.

After watching the Coach Graham’s Nevada press conference I will “buy-in” once again into what he’s selling. Graham addressed some issues that were bothering a lot of us fans. Play calling, personnel, adjustments, blocking schemes, and game planning. He summed it up citing execution (drops mostly and some special teams miscues) and the players themselves “buying in” (like they showed in the second half). So “chill pill” today for now (for me anyways). Go Warriors.

Drew Buggs made his debut yesterday with Missouri. His new team defeated Oral Roberts 91-64. Buggs scored no points, but he grabbed a rebound, dished out two assists, and nabbed a steal in 13 minutes. Tomorrow, Dawson Carper makes his debut with Missouri State. The Bears play Evangel, a NAIA school. Lauren Rewers makes her debut with Michigan State tomorrow against St. Francis.

Nevada’s Timmy Chang is likely in a good position earning $190,000 as Tight Ends coach and 3rd highest paid assistant behind the coordinators. Got a feeling that he’ll follow Jay Norvell wherever he ends up, due to loyalty to him. Chang was coaching D-III before getting hired by Norvell in 2017. Not sure, but UH’s coordinators may earn about the same as Chang. Reno is a lot cheaper place to live, to boot. Interesting to see how coaching careers develop.

In the Graham news conference of Nov. 24, he said some of the new stuff ( different from last season ) is the offensive line having to use the “vertical set” for pass blocking . He said they are used to the “heavy set “. …OL experts, can you explain what is that ?
This could explain some of the problems in the blocking.
