I notice that the in-color these days is orange. Say what! It appears that orange has been winning a lot. I.E. the Houston Astros, the Clemson Tigers, the Boise St. Broncos, the not so distant past Denver Broncos, the not so distant past San Francisco Giants, the lately Syracuse Orange (beat Clemson). the far distant Florida Gators, the Oklahoma Thunder not bad. The Knicks are still shitty, however, but maybe getting better now that Melo is gone. There is hope. The Mets were good recently, until injuries hit the pitching staff. Hey, I like orange. I like eating them.

Good article this morning about Coach Rod York and his Mililani Trojans. I live in Mililani and I watch a lot of Mililani’s games. The article is right about York’s team is always in constant attack mode. I like that. They were on attack mode since York took over and when Milton was playing since he was a sophomore. Gabriel is in the same mold. I think the Trojans can beat Kahuku but it would be hard to beat all those blue chippers at St. Louis. We’ll see what happens. Enjoy the day.

The runs only work when there’s balance in your attack. No Ursua, no Unga…no balance. I hope HI. opens with some passes, even short ones, to establish a go-to receiver. Then I think DSJ will have more success.

As for a local born coach, what history has proven that are most successful coaches were not local born and bred—e.g. Tomey, Wagner, Jones…the affable Chow was, and the profundity of his disappointment still lingers.

if UH OC calls the same 9 plays in its 1st offensive set as he did against SDSU, UH will lose and lose bad — 6 or 7 plays with SJ “up-da-middle” for less than 15 yards

hoping OC is a lot more innovative in plays and play calling
