If UH is really serious about going to the next level, then you hire Dick Tomey as AD, bring in Rich Ellerson as he DC and at the appropriate time, try and hire Duane Akina as the HC.

ST already told us the rumors were bogus. I believed those rumors for years . But when ST said it’s not true, then I started to think who I heard em from. I heard em from people that don’t know.

My season tickets would be insignificant to all of yours but I would even give up my volleyball tickets (men and women), football, and mens basketball season tickets if June Jones came back. He gave up on SMU. He gave up on us at the bowl in New Orleans (he already knew he was going to SMU and we know even if his contract was late that it would def. have gotten reviewed). He’s a loser in my eyes.

17. Here come the old rumors again. You know, the unsubstantiated ones about an affair and a child. Well here’s something to ponder, since you brought up the whole “trust with your daughter” argument:

If the bogus rumors were true … and your daughter is in college and decides to have an affair with a married man and gets knocked up …? Oh well. You have to talk to your daughter.

Get over it already. It was a bs rumor. He is a good football coach for a program like Hawaii. Way better than the delusional, stubborn one we have now.

An observation about Jones. He will give his best effort when he has the support of the school and administrators. Once that is lacking or those above him does not seem committed or keep their promises, he will throw in the towel.

If he was to be hired again be sure the commitment is across the board and things be put in writing to assure him what will get done and in what length of time. That there will be no broken promises.
