welcome back jj! Hawai’i welcomes you back with open arms. Many of you fail to remember what jones did in his tenure in the islands, a bottom dwelling team to a nationally ranked bcs bowl, think about that for a minute. i am in total disbelief in people defending the way chow has run this team into oblivion.

Its true we had some exciting football with Jones but his personal misconduct and the cover up left a bad taste in my mouth. The head coach should set an example on and off the field. Everyone knows what happened and to rationalize such behavior because we were winning is reprehensible.

Kinda sad when you think about it. You have a forum where you can ask people their opinions. But when one arises that you disagree with, you stoop to unprofessional levels. It is one thing for another blogger to insinuate and insult another blogger. But for the blog host to do that? That is pretty sad. I never insulted you. Yet you have made every effort to take my words and use them to insult me. That is highly unprofessional as a journalist with this newspaper.

#79. Glad reporters aren’t trying to leverage the State for more taxpayer money (my money) to pay for entertainment. Shows a public conscience and ability to be other than completely self-interested/absorbed. Giving the stadium to UH would be a disaster. They can’t run or maintain what they have. Hawaii would lose eventually the Stadium as a useable asset to neglect and mismanagement (the fate of other UH facilities), and the big revenue generating activity would be an area with kiddie bouncers. One of the great nights of the week in the fall can be the great brand of football played by the local high schools. It’s such an inspiring thing to watch, and the kids get so jazzed to be able to play there. The graduations held there are also such happy times. Although it’s hot at the 50th State fair, the lower lot provides ample open space, and if it rains, no mud. Anyone go to the U-2 concert?
