Rolo has the football program headed in the right direction — now, he has to win many games to “woo” back the crowd.

UHAD must, not should, must prepare a plan on how to get fans back in the seats — not only for football, but men’s volleyball and basketball — hopefully, someone realizes that ZERO people in seats equates to ZERO income — $10/seat for 10,000 seats =s 100,000 — make all the yellow seats at Aloha Stadium $10/game or $8/game — heck, $80,000 x 7 home games =s $560,000 additional income.

same should apply for the SSC — season ticket holders keep their seats, but pay the lower rate!

and, the most important X-factor, IMHO, is recruiting the young generation — if they come, so must the parents or vice versa

We need an American Pro Football league in the spring. Too much talent going to waste when college players can’t make it into the NFL or still need developing for the NFL. Football has overtaken all sports as the number one sport in America. CFL isn’t as exciting because it’s doesn’t use American rules and dimensions.

Cappie, disagree. The prize is the NCAA Tournament. Winning the conference is one way, the other way is the at-large bid. To get the at-large, need as many wins as possible and yesterday’s loss hurt.

Advertising. The baseball is going downhill. I don’t think they’re that good this year. I see the MLB as a more popular place to be. They are more exciting to watch. I don’t see Hawai’i baseball as fun to watch. Too bad for a stadium and no fans to show up.

On tv hopefully, no where else to go to. Or if anything, free for all households to watch that night. The bars are showing no games live. That is like in WAIKIKI. Not in my bar unless, they show up in greens then maybe, for free. On UH sports.
