Even though they are favored you can never underestimate Fresno.

The “sum of the parts” don’t really add up. Some of it is technique. Just terrible at finishing tackles most/all of them, especially second level but across the D-line too (Vega and Williams on video). But not vs Nevada (I would say second half OSU too kind of) so they have the ability.

Mautautia was a great finisher that day. Pritchard was physical too. Pass rush was synched with coverage which allowed Okeke to play side to side. Hicks was beast and D-line controlled the line of scrimmage. They have the ability to do this consistently I think. Just the coaching has to encourage this. Attack with Scott. Use your hands in the box. Play angry. Control the line of scrimmage. Disrupt with pressure. And make a big play or two every series. Can do.

But it’s our defense thati’s a concern. Something I didn’t expect since there were so many returning D players, especially at LB. I also thought the D-line was solid. Hasn’t been the case in defending the run. I see them playing real hard, but……so go figure.

On Offense they are gonna run run run trying to keep us off the field. They are at times very physical and “chirpy” No time for dumb penalties or taking plays off. The arm tackles won’t come close to stopping these guys. They have nothing to lose and will play loose and hard. All are guys need to do is remember who they are and why they play this one. All on the line, winning record overall and conference bowl bid and righting the wrongs of the losses at Sam Boyd-GoWarriors

Coach should utilize him more. Both Cole and Chevan can make it happen. Best Wishes for the rest of the Season

It could have seemed lost in terms of hope, but for them to get this win and still be in the tournament race made things much better. But on another note, umm…

It’s safe to say that UNLV hasn’t been the same team that Sanchez probably would have wanted to see, given the progression prior when Rolo first came to Hawaii. But this year, his team is pretty much is hitting the bottom of the barrel. UNLV against conference foes fork over 228 rushing yards per game and 223.4 passing yards per game. Safe to say that Hawaii could pretty much play havoc with the passing game because they average over 400 yards on that statistic (416 passing yards per game). Now, Hawaii, their last 3 matches, they scored 616 yards rushing (205.3 yards ppg), which emphasizes that they’re making progress with the run game. So that’s the good news. Bad news…do they have enough to winnow down UNLV in Las Vegas despite the passing game numbers? Could be seeing another gritty down-to-the-wire game, and hope that Fresno State can upset San Diego State for us to get that chance if we win.

Easy for the chirping individuals who don’t have $425,000 and the actual responsibility to make a decision on the line.

How many teams can say that they have TWO QB POWs? It would be interesting to see them both on the field.
