Rolo only as good as his OC &DC.

Concerned that when running game didn’t work…didn’t seem like they had the ability to make relevant adjustments.

Statistics used too much to quantify teams success. Who cares how many yards offense gets, or how efficient Brown is. If those numbers don’t translate to scoring and winning games…just fluff to show something positive.

Seems while Rolo QBed here, he has decided that what he learned at Nevada only way to go. While ok to use running as basis for offense….If not working maybe use passing to spread the field to open up the run.

Really scary…Rolo said they thought about changing offensive philosophy after missed field goal. Wow….they had all that time and couldn’t figure it out.

something that Rolo has to look for in recruiting/selecting a position coach — friendship is great, but does not translate to success

also, he has the responsibility of selecting/training another coach to take his place — most leaders refuse to do this as they are afraid that that coach may be better and replace him sooner than later

If that is the case, then all of the blog assessments of a less than equal quality of talent on the field is moot. Our players plus planning equal advantage – us. The flaw as was stated is in execution, not quality of personnel. So, if execution continues to be the issue, what could be a contributing factor may be in the ability to teach the plan such that execution is achieved on more occasions than not, which appears to be the case thus far.
