There was a time when transfers would come here and flourish. Colt Brennan and Golden Richards comes to mind. The late Gavin Smith came from UCLA although in basketball.

2012 roster has a nice collection of receivers that might have done well had Chow used the run and shoot. Trevor Davis and Chris Gant on the outside. Miah Ostrowski and Allen Sampson in the slots. Billy Ray Stutzmann could play both positions. Justin Clapp was a good route runner and would have been a versatile H back. There was a still raw Scott Harding and a freshman Sampson Anguay, two guys who might have gotten a lot of YAC numbers. The power back would have been Iosefa. Might have been a more watchable product than “Chow Ball”. Too bad.

One day and norm chow was yelling at Trevor Davis.

He walked off field and started running laps around track.
He left program a month later…

Since Trevor Davis is recognized as a former Warrior, whose statistics is documented in the pros with Hawaii connections section, Kyle Dowdy should be added to the Minor League Report next season.

Trevor Davis could have been one of the all time great WR’s had he been here at UH for all 4 seasons and had the run and shoot been allowed to remain.

Unfortunately and wisely, he did not want to be a part of chow ball. The move to Cal under Sonny Dykes more spread out offense worked out for him, and he still appears to have much love for UH and Hawaii. I still root for the guy as I didn’t blame him for leaving.
