Fullerton was 2nd with 129. In all games, UH overall was last with 220 runs scored.
CSUN was 1st with 329 runs overall but was 8th in conference with 103.
UH recruiting for more speed, per today’s article. UH was last in stolen bases with 5 in conference and 10 overall.
Losing Vchulek who had 4 stolen bases out of 6 tries. Lopez was 3 for 4.

Maaki Yamazaki is an excellent college baseball player.

I am not sure he is a MLB prospect.

He is a little slow to first base.

He does not have a strong arm.

I think Brody Hagel-Pitt has more upside potential.

He is Alex Capaul.

The Big West has no post-season tournament.

You never know.

That is five potential chances for Hawaii to reach the NCAAs.

All of a sudden, Coach Trapasso’s career looks a little different if he steals a bid or two.

Unless you’re a pessimist and think Hawaii would lose all conference tournaments.

This is why I’m patient.

The Big West was way, way down this season.

The injuries to the pitching staff was unfortunate.

Any recent clip. I just lied on the garden island blog that she is a good speaker to fit my comment in there. I would like to confirm now how Jan Santi sounds. Point specific video helpful. For the past few years they were average at best.

I am very happy for Handy and hope he gets the chance to be an NBA coach someday.

I want to see video of Phil Handy and LeBron James having a conversation.

This was supposed to be the year we take a step forward. I don’t feel as optimistic as some due to a big senior class. We will lose our starting left fielder in Johnny Weeks, our starting center fielder in Dylan Vchulek, our starting first baseman in Eric Ramirez, and DH/C Chayce Kaaua. We could lose Dylan Thomas and Kekai Rios to the draft. Even Maasaski Yamazaki could leave.

To make matters worse, their replacements are either not in school now(JC or Freshmen coming in) or returning team members who got little or no playing time( guys like Jacob Sniffen, Alex Baeza, etc…)

I honestly dont see us getting better next year. The blue chipper we went after will sign pro contracts. Those who will not be drafted or not drafted high enough will be coming in will be coming in inexperienced. Trap should have used his bench more. The staters played almost all the games this year, thus rendering our bench inexperienced for next year.
