For the schedule why don’t they contact the teams who are playing in the Maui Invitational and schedule a game with them on their way in or out. I think we did this with Michigan State. Maybe do a home and home with UNLV.

Hey Jjay,

The UH system requires the job to be posted on its website for at least two weeks, and it went up on Sept. 1. It’s listed as closing on Sept. 19, so no hire will be made before then. It’s possible that Benjy Taylor, as the most experienced of the remaining assistants, will be rolled over to associate coach. As for the logical pick as new assistant, you wouldn’t have to look very far beyond that. But again, nothing can be announced until that date.

As for the contract, nothing imminent, and Arnold (who hasn’t commented on it recently) doesn’t come across as concerned about its status. Don’t think anything will happen before the UH football team gets back from its two-game road trip this month, but you never know.
