Defense play good enuff, despite the 6 turnovers, which turned into 28 pts.
‘Zona would have only 10pts.

If the game was clean, no turnovers. Hawaii would have won the game 31-10.

Kahuna, I like what you wrote. We did get lucky in this one. Tate missed some key passes and Warriors couldn’t produce a pass rush. Credit to Wildcats O-line.

I hope that big play by Pumba will elevate him to another level. We need more pressure on the QB. We kind of lucky that Tate is not a pure pocket passer and is wild at times. If we don’t get pressure on pure pocket passers, our secondary will not be able to keep up with receivers. Padello was getting neutralized and the other side(Thomas and Vega) was not getting much pressure.

Where was Jonah Laulu? I thought he was supposed to be a force on the edge. Never really saw much of him.

What a start to the season! That bam bam play at the one yard line was right in front of all of us in the South End zone. What a play to catch a very elusive runner just before he was about to score!!

Mrs. Lopaka and I enjoyed seeing all the Tsaikos at the Cabana and in the Stadium. Hope to see more of all of you at the Oregon State game. Only 20,000 attending what was one of the most exciting football games I have ever seen. There is room for 30,000 more! Maybe they will start believing if we beat Oregon State?

Great photo of last play. Phew! Hawaii escapes with the win. Okeke saved it with his INT. Cordeiro sealed it. His TD pass was something to see (from my perspective in the South end zone).
