He will be closer to Seth Sundberg and Davis Rozitis instead of Bill Moehler, Douglas Kurtz, and a name I don’t want to mention because his father had died during the season.

But not Tony Maroney and Troy Ostler.

I like Zigmars Raimo because I like to shout, “C’mon, Zigmars!” at games.

We have two idiot savants on our team.

I hope Jack Purchase(great Bob Dylan psuedonym) adds something to his spot-up three act.

I hope Sheriff Drammeh adds scoring, or facilitating the offense, or rebounding, to his ability to draw the charge. You have to like Drammeh for not shying away from contact. That is why I defend him.

Not all coaches or teams can afford (have the budget) to bring in lots of players nor do they want to bring in a player just wanting a “trip.” The fact that he has brought in players for visits illustrates that the staff has a recruiting plan, however, the best laid plans sometimes do not work out. How about Ido? Just saying it is way too early to drive nails into a coffin… let’s move forward…

Lol anyone can do that. And every coach brings in a lot of players for visits. No coach expects to sign everyone they bring in. Please tell us who these qualitity players are that he signed during the summer?

Since regaining additional scholarships, he signed a guard for next year, commitment from another – after fulfilling his church mission and is hopefully close to signing another guard. Also, he targeted other players that signed with other schools. As fans, we are hoping for that promising BIG, unfortunately most have already committed. Ganot is a smart coach and accordingly, he targets the right fit and players who “want” to be here. Evaluating how many players he has brought in for visits so far illustrates that Coach has a plan B, C, etc…Also, he has demonstrated the ability to get quality players during the summer. There is at least 3 more D1 level players on the team, two, as evidenced by their playing time and one (truly believe he’ll be good), yet to be seem. The former two, may not be top tier players but they are ballers. Moving forward…

Green
Thomas
Johnson
Purchase

Hoosier – just found out you were part of the team responsible for building the rail. Now I know why you make excuse for everything. It’s all you do. You obviously didn’t plan ahead when putting together a budget for the rail so I can see why you would think it was logical for Ganot not to plan ahead in case we got our scholarships back. Once again your brilliance has proven itself. Keep up the good work with the rail!

Why would you recruit if you have no scholarships available, only became available last game of the season. We are not a power 5 team and we have a ocean between us. Who said recruiting is easy in Hawaii, no matter if comparing to other Big West teams. Those recruits don’t want to come here regardless, they signed elsewhere. Why waste scholarships on players that might not warrant one. Save it for next year, which will be Ganot’s first year recruiting without any sanctions hanging over the program. We can judge then if he can recruit or not. He’s had two good years considering sanctions the past two years was hanging over the program. Remember he kept 2015-16 team focused with the pending sanctions hanging over the entire season.

Recruiting is a challenge because players’ families want to see their kids play.

39.

4 D1 players. Ouch!

Does my list match yours?

Gibson Johnson
Leland Green
Mike Thomas
Ido Flaisher

Ganot should be recruiting even if he is not sure about openings. Yep, brilliant. Over and out. Can only stay on these boards when they make sense. Back to reality

We have by far and I mean not even close the nicest facilities in the Big West. We have a beautiful place to live and play basketball. Riley Wallace didn’t have trouble brining in recruits and recruiting classes. Gib Arnold could bring in recruits although they didn’t always qualify. With all the pukas we have in our roster and the playing time we have available to sell these recruits there is no excuse to not have filled our class with a talented bunch of recruits using all of our available scholarships. There is no post season ban. And if Eron wasn’t out recruiting with the likely hood we got scholarships back that is all on him. Eron is a great X & Os coach and I think he could be here for a long time if he can figure out the recruiting part of it. But if he can’t dont expect us back to the NCAA Tournament anytime soon.
