True summer league is just that, for summer time. Not really super competitive or structured Basketball. I guess the interest here is that we see, including UH walkons, new faces ..and some of the guys have Potential, ..Now if it were NBA summer league , where guys are trying to get invites to Fall camp..that is someting else..However, for MBB fans, any UH guys in the league, we just want to see, can they run, jump, shoot, dribble, pass, etc..I think the New Faces have proven they have a lot of Potential..good fun…just hope no one gets seriously hurt!

Yup. Don’t read too much into summer league fellas. It’s a glorified scrimmage. Some teams only two or three players show up for the game. They take guys from other teams. Might as well be playing at Klum…lol. Sheesh, even the reporter don’t show up at until the second game halftime! Still, appreciate the report.

i think i was sitting next to you on floor on the endline.
fotu played well despite getting into foul trouble early. He picked his 3rd soon into the 2nd half on a baseline spin move on Dressler. He faked left and then drove right and 2 hand dunked it, however, he “hooked” Caleb with his right arm according to the ref.
i guess they’re using the nba foul rules as he got his 5th later in the half and everyone thought he fouled out, but came back late in the game.
while he was out, Dressler was dominating over Christmas and no one could stop him. Fotu matches up well with him. It should be fun to see these two progress over their years here.
I like Fotu with his quick feet and presence around the basket. He has a soft touch on his layups and is quick to the rebound.

Reportedly Grantco had players off in Vegas; but CMC sounds more like a team/coach, maybe chase/remind the players issue … seems too early to have players flying off to school; as you said 6 or 7 is reasonable for a roster of 12 or 13, and more fair to the guys who do show up… Hauns ‘covering’ for Jace ? The season started with players clamoring for more court time (on CMC) … it’s available…

although not technically the right stuff, My favorite sub sandwich (widely available) is the Double-Pastrami @ Subway — haven’t got any branch to Quadruple the pastrami yet …

K-Bay: CMC , wonder if league director has to speak to coach…to not field at least 6 or 7 is kind of strange…back in the day, used to happen, then..some of the guys in the stands were recruited to play to fill in roster, now, I am sure it is a liabilty thing, you have to be a summer leauge approved player , I am sure..

Good (interesting) to see that playing or having a game trumps Winning the Game — i probably wouldn’t send the games biggest player (Williams) to the team that doesn’t have its players show … what’s happening with CMC, two in a row with five or fewer players ?

May be good for Hauns to be in shape and ready to play 40…

With report that Aaric Armstead, as if we did not know, officially done as a 2012-13 recruit for UH, since he is going to prep school. ..in your opinion, do you think Gib still is recruiting a SF or a good athlete for 2012-13, IMO , Gib might be, ..it seems that explosive , rebounding, scoring, defending SF is the puka in the roster, IMO maybe a JC with 3 to play 3..? What do you think?
