As Usual, STRONGLY AGREE… Very Rare to find Foreign Talent much better than Aaric Armstead…

But Looking Around the Olympics & NBA they’re out there — Counting on Gib (and Charlie Wade & UHWBB Laura Beeman, also helping, etc.) to Find & Coach ‘Em for the Ride of their lives in The World’s Supremo College Basketball Paradise…

Maybe Isaac, Orel, Davis, Christian & Vander will be ideal examples…

I was wondering all along why Arnold recruited Shamburger. Now that I know he is targeting players coming from winning programs, the signing of Shamburger makes perfect sense. Wasn’t SJSU 1-13 in conference last year?
Then, we’re supposed to believe that Spearman was Arnold’s top choice. In a year that recruiting is so critical, the supposedly high level recruiter sets his sights on a guard with those stats as his prime recruit?
What happened to all those supposed contacts that were made last year that are supposed to pay off? We didn’t get the recruits, but weren’t relationships built that would help us in the future, Gib? That is what you said, wasn’t it?

Since Academics & Qualifying came up, Could be for this summer or season;

(unless the NCAA started helping with Early Preliminary evaluations;

Or these are just early SAT/ACT, transcript reviews, etc..)

Sickman — Valid Concerns … Like protector pointed out ideally (as a gym rat and good student of the game as his coach noted) he’s already improving; also suspect he may be one of those with better focus and stats when the game is on the line …

In reply to turfwar. Hey Turf, If I were a betting man, future years. Cannot say with 100 percent certainty, however. Armstead is the top priority, but many schools are going after him.

Brian, thanks for the info.

I am kind of surprised because I thought Givon Crump could have been a nice pick-up for Hawaii (especially at the Small Forward position). So does this mean he wasn’t offered by Hawaii and hence chose to go with Cal State Fullerton?

Nowadays it’s hard to go after HS Seniors because they want to play right away. At least with the JUCO guys, they tend to be a little more ready to compete now.

I hope we get Armstead, he’s the key.
