Peter Garrett sings: “Mining companies…got more rights than people/Got more say than people.” My online friend from Australia keeps me informed on a daily basis. He/she(I have no idea) tells me that there is a disconnect between the Australian government and the catastrophe because of the prime minister’s ties with the mining companies.Coming from a complete stranger, Ms. Atwell, I hope all of your friends and family are safe from harm. I don’t know how you, or any Australian National are able to function, being away from home. Beyond belief, how the world keeps spinning with this going on. I hope it rains.
