This kid is hungry, he works hard, he’s got a great attitude, and he’s a great student. Walk on or not, this is the kind of kid any coach wants in his program. With the addition of Kameron Ng, UH will have 4 local boys on the roster next year: Ng, Samuta Avea, Zoar Nedd, and Jessiya Villa. Has that ever happened before in UH basketball history?

Um… University of Portland is not a D2, it’s a D1. But other reports claim they were only interested in him walking on as well. I just want some clarification on all these OFFERS that were being reported he had for the past year or two. There were direct quotes in articles by Paul Honda and Stephen Tsai where Ng said he had multiple offers from multiple divisions. Not hard to find online.

In two years, if he is a big contributor to the team, he will get his scholarship.

I think that means only tuition waiver, not a full ride. I heard all those D1 offers were put out there by others, not him. Read into that what you like.

Why did he turn down supposed D1 offers to take this one? And Ng is not 5’11”, maybe 5’9″ on a good day.

If that’s the case, what happened to all the other Division 1 offers that were constantly reporting Ng had?
