Fake African-American classes = I-Pad.

I will be yelling my head off after every Villanova basket today.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, WIN!!!!

I absolutely loathe ESPN for protecting North Carolina.

Out of respect for the late-Stuart Scott, the network is hesitant to bust out the pitchforks. People like Vitale, and Digger, they’re friends with Roy Williams, so there is an obvious conflict of interest.

With every passing year, Cameron Crowe’s “Almost Famous” is turning into the modern era’s “Network”(directed by Sidney Lumet), in terms of relevance, with regards to journalism.

“Don’t make friends with the rock stars.”

No truer words.

Hawaii has no friends.

Nobody in the mainstream media is looking after Hawaii’s best interests.

Soon, hopefully not in the near-future, she will grow restless with making the tournament, only to bow out in the first round. With men’s basketball, you could say that Hawaii, at least, has a 1-5% chance of making a deep run in the NCAAs. With women’s basketball, circumstances being the life of a low mid-major, that percentage is zero. Thanks to Megan Huff, Hawaii kept the margin of defeat respectable. Huff looks like the only player on the current roster that a high major may want on their roster. I have high expectations for her next season. I think she could be Big West Player of the Year.

I wish Long Beach State point guard Anna “Schooled by a Korean” Lee would transfer to Hawaii.

I would love to see women’s basketball adopt a style similar to football, which is to split the Division I teams into a FBS and FCS system. Felt so bad for Robert Morris, being behind by thirty-seven points after ten minutes.

The genius of Vince Goo?

When Hawaii faced a Diana Taurasi-led Huskies team, the 2002 Na Wahine team lost only by seven points. 60-53.

And can somebody explain to me why Hawaiian Tel cable couldn’t televise the UCLA/Hawaii game?

There was Rick Pitino, Jamie Dixon, etc…, and now Eran Ganot and Laura Beeman. Some day you may wistfully look back on the salad days of your coaching careers and smile (where your wings to stardom began.) Hawaii continues to be fertile ground for young coaches, who aspire to reach greatness.

You have exemplified what excellence in leadership can do for a basketball team, its university, and the entire state. Hawai’i is blessed to have you.
