I think Coach Ganot’s counterpart would bolt, given a job offer equivalent to that of San Diego.

Ganot probably wants to see if his trio of recruits are going to pan out.

I can’t foresee the women’s basketball program improving with the graduation of their leading scorer.

Coach Ganot has proven to me that he can take this program in the right direction as well as Coach Rolo. I look forward to the return of the run and shoot and I believe we have the ingredients to make it work. I am an optimist and good things will happen this year.

There is a difference in how he could have replied, such as “I will not be leaving the University of Hawaii anytime soon.” I am not sure what he would if he was offered the job.

It’s his second tour of duty here. I agree with you that money isn’t a factor.

Rolovich or Ganot are neither a good or bad coach, but rather, the best coach Hawaii can get, as a have-not.

If you are really paying attention, the facts don’t back that up. The guy wants to be here and he’s still building something. He may outgrow Hawaii at some point in the future, but I truly believe he wants to accomplish something and leave the program in better shape than how he found it when he does go… or he wants to be the next Riley Wallace or Randy Bennett (two of his biggest mentors) and stay in one place for as long as possible. Regardless of whether you think Rolo and Ganot are good coaches or bad coaches, it is hard to doubt their desire to accomplish something here at UH.
