As for scheduling, I really hope that we only play DII teams at the most every 3-5 years. It does nothing for preparation, RPI, fan interest, just not worth it. I understand if they’re used as plug-ins for holes in the schedule but even then does UH even make money? I was at the UH-Hilo game and it was empty. Didn’t even look like a 1000 people. I get that teams might not want to travel all the way over here to play but we are Hawaii not South Dakota or Maine. I’m sure someone who has some promotional experience can sell a trip to Hawaii to some DI teams to come to paradise.
