The Panthers get it done.

66-58 win over Southern Illinois.

The cheerleaders looked really happy.

Northern Iowa vs. Wichita State.

A potential upset will be Hawaii’s shot at being in Joe Lunardi’s “Last Four Out” or “Next Four Out”.

Besides RPI, I hope the committee will recognize Hawaii’s seven, potentially, eight, road victories. And understand that a lot of Hawaii’s wins were accompanied by untimely injuries to key players.

The close loss to Oklahoma.

Texas Tech needs to get into the Field of 68.

If the NCAA Tournament Selection Committee is beholden, strictly, to the RPI, then Hawaii is in serious trouble.

Mostly, you’re right, Actual Counselor.

But I’m working on the premise that Northern Iowa and Coastal Carolina can win their conference championships.

Coastal Carolina, in particular, is intriguing, because the Big South, being a low mid-major is historically unpredictable. The Chanticleers are a #4-seed going up against #5-seed Gardner Webb.

Northern Iowa has a much harder road because they have to face Wichita State at some point. But this is the team that beat North Carolina and Iowa State at their place.

The Panthers are currently up 54-49 over Southern Illinois(22-9) with five minutes to go in the second half. A victory over the Salukis will provide NI with a considerable spike in their RPI, and hopefully, trickle down to Hawaii.

Long Beach State falls in the #101-#150 category. Not as bad as UC-Riverside.

UH isn’t a bubble team. their RPI is at 89, and I don’t think a team below RPI 50 ever made the big dance. they have no wins over any team in the top 50 and two extremely terrible losses to long beach and UC-Riverside (RPI is a ghastly 256). UH needs to win the big west tournament to dance.

Love to read the comments after the game. The “SO CALLED FANS” always trash the team then have to eat their words.

This is the year Hawaii needs BracketBusters.

My best guess: If BracketBusters still existed, the Bristol people would send us to New Jersey to play Monmouth.

That would be the network’s marquee game.

If you check out Andy Katz’s latest column, he mentions Hawaii as a possible bubble team. He goes on to say that although the Big West is unlikely to get two teams in, Hawaii will merit consideration if they reach the Big West final, contingent, of course, if the Rainbows also win their season finale at Long Beach State.

This is the second road game in a row, in which Mike Thomas scored late.

The difference between a win and a loss might have been Quincy Smith’s four free throws(out of six).

That three which cut the margin from five to two: Amazing.

And he nearly hit consecutive treys. The second one just fell off the rim.

Seven road victories.

I think Hawaii goes through ten-year spans without collecting seven wins away from Oahu.

warriors great finishers! last eight touches for each team Hawaiii 12 Pts, UC davis 5pts. nuff said , was a little lucky they missed free throw s in the last 9 minutes , but we missed some too (bobitt). no matter what Reg/season champs
and correction brandy there is no by in the first round next week 3 wins and on to the dance baby. most likely cal/fullerton, UCSB, then the beach or Irvine.
NIT for sure maybe host Arizona ST or Oregon ST
