These guys are so young… Already displaying skills…
Glad they’ve chosen to grow and improve here…AND they’re already here…

Four or Five Years…with even ‘a portion’ of Vander’s Two-Year improvement,
…should be pretty good players…

Even the early struggling is probably a long-term positive thing…

I agree with K-Bay and Turfwar that the UH players looked very promising. Fotu looks pretty polished for a freshman and he was “schooling” Dressler for the most part. It was encouraging that Dressler improved his defensive play as the game went along. He truly is a work-in-progress as he looked winded and he definitely needs to hit the weights. Decent size though and you can’t teach ‘size’,, lol.

…so Dressler was on the mark, flagging in advance (last week) that he would need to improve his defensive footwork (after playing mostly zone defenses in high school);

AND teammate Fotu could expose and exploit that weakness in their First Week together…i don’t expect Dressler to play stationary tree or tackling dummy for long …. He’ll soon have a better answer…. The Better/ Best situation is where your own teammates are your best competition…and opponents have fewer effective answers…and better in July than November…

Thanks for the report Brian. Harper really did have a good outing scoring on drives and showing confidence in his outside game. Fotu was very active all game.

GREAT to see more “UH Warriors” steppin’ up…
Portends good things this coming season that what’s needed on any given night may be available with whomever coach may be calling upon — out of the five on the court and whoever on the bench gets the call, there are/ will be answers…that would be a whole ‘nother level, but every (UH) player has demonstrated that they’ve got something to offer–it’s up to coach to make the call…and each player to bring it…
