Unofficial visits (paid for by the recruit and his family) are different in this respect; they are not subject to some of the other restrictions and may be made sooner in a high school athlete’s career. They may talk to coaches on campus as long as it’s not a dead period, which it isn’t right now. Coach Ganot is pretty meticulous about this sort of thing. If this helps, take a look at this.
