When conference games start, Trap will make Thomas a starter again when he finds himself blown out of games and no opportunity to use his best pitcher.

I went to the University of Hawaii women’s basketball roster to figure out who HM is. Oh, man. Time for a physical.

I think Brocke Stepteau deserved HONORABLE MENTION, but the Big West is a guard-oriented league. I am happy for Drew Buggs. His game is not not interesting. I like the dribble dribble kick it out, and the dribble dribble shoot, but not the dribble dribble dribble…

The Big West just made Brocke mad. Show ’em, little man, so says the guy who is 5’3″.

Leah Salanoa was clutch in the most important game of the season. I suspect that Salanoa and the whole time are locked in. I wish the missing player was still with the program, but just like with the men’s team from three years back, and the time the women’s star player skipped the NIT, a team will bond in the face of adversity. This is different, of course. Life takes precedence over a game.

Matt- My gripe for the time being is that I thought Colin Ashworth established himself as the closer on Friday night. I can’t argue with objective facts. Yes. They haven’t been to the post-season for eight seasons and counting. And key players are injured.

I just don’t know if at that point, could coach Trapasso be at the end of the line because not only have injuries snake-bit this program, losing Maaki Yamazaki in the final Oregon game, Duarte not back from an ankle sprain, Fogel, Demeter and Hatton done for the season, Davenport with a sore arm, and DeMeiro with some concern with arm fatigue. I don’t know how much steam could Matlin build anymore because with the way this program is going. Under Coach Trap, they’ve gone 8 seasons without a post-season. I mean, you could argue in the same sense with Bob Coolen and his softball squad going 5 seasons without a post-season, but it seems like something just hasn’t gone the right way for Coach Trapasso in the big stay. People have wanted him to be fired from the program, but in what sense could they bring in in Coach Trapasso’s place? I think that they gotta figure out what to do in this situation, because with the way they’re playing, how can they prepare for BWC play? This might as well extend to 9 seasons not making it to the post-season because with this team being incomplete, it’s hurting their depth on the pitching and hitting, and Matlin’s gotta find a different direction to go to. Norm Chow reference anybody?
