They wasted Brandon’s strong outing and it got overshadowed by a failed fielder’s choice and by squandering the lead, which proved costly for the basebows.

Much like the 2005 season, it ends in the same facade, they take a 2-1 series lead, only to lose it on the last one. This felt like Hawaii was on the winning side, and it ended up with Wazzu clawing back to a win. Hawaii should have won it…and Wazzu just acted like a bunch of sore losers. They just don’t know when to give in, especially when they knew that with 2 outs, they should have lost with the fielder’s choice at hand.

Well…that’s got to be disappointing, to say the least. Next up, to Vanderbilt we go, and hopefully, we can at least get a win over there. Cal Poly managed to do so earlier in the season, let’s see if we can be next to upset the Commodores.
