Colton has his right thumb wrapped up. I think Wade is keeping him out to heal up.

    1. that he does

I love the way Tiff calls volleyball games. I know Cindy is very proud of him. He needs to get a seat on the TV broadcast.

The second team is showing off why it’s the second team

Well…they got pushed, but it didn’t quite come easy. They got pushed big time. If there’s something learning from watching UCI being pushed by 4 and 5 sets by a lowly team like UCSD, and the way Hawaii got frustrated by LMU in the rematch in the 3rd set, it tells me one thing, how will Hawaii pan out with Irvine when they go to the Bren Events Center? Hawaii will have to be seriously sharp on that trip if they’re going to win the series against Irvine because all of their starters return and Hawaii’s going to have to find a way to fix their wrongdoings and better come out ready to fight the anteaters.

The 3rd stringer setter was setting. You are bound to have miscommunication and sloppy plays. Van Eerkrean is used so infrequently that he probably never worked much that that lineup.

The 3 rd team also didn’t run any of “31” nor ran much “BICK”. Basically your vanilla style offense.

  7. Cindy Luis February 17, 2019 8:21 pm

    3. Thank you. He works very hard at it. He prefers radio over TV so I don’t know if or when he’ll make a switch.
    6. I don’t think JVE had a poor night but that was an interesting lineup he had to work with. The passing wasn’t that great so they didn’t run the BIC.
Neither did the Warriors in any of their other sets. The fanciest Worsley got was on the slides to Solbrig.
BTW, Wade said he didn’t start Rosenmeier because of any injury to Cowell. Said he wanted Rosenmeier to play. Cowell could have.

  8. Kahuna February 17, 2019 8:46 pm

Well…Cowell is the only eligible player that did not play so I will stick by my theory that Wade kept Colton out to his hand injury. Everybody else played.

  9. Manoafan February 17, 2019 9:18 pm

    8. I agree. I like Rosie, but Cowell is much more dynamic and I think the team is overall stronger with Cowell in.

Since Stijn, Rado and Joe subbed into game 3 for short stints, their National stats per game will suffer unfortunately… and of course the teams National leading hitting percentage.

On the upside though, congrats for yet another 3 set win!

    new thread up
7-8. can only pass along what I was told, that he wanted Rosenmeier to play.
    Cowell was hitting in warmups.
Wade said if there had be a fourth, Cowell might have gone in.
