C’mon, how many old men had to break out the magnifying glass?
    Raise your hand.
    You?
    You?
Well, I had trouble seeing the brackets.

Magnifying glass is needed a lot these days.
Who covers the women’s basketball program ? Their coaches are recruiting in Chicago, Indiana,Kansas City, Louisville etc.

LOL!…just had to get closer to the monitor….already have me reading glasses on….
Tournaments look good… Good teams. Will definitely see where our team stands.

Is Jawad still going to be a walk-on for the basketball team ?

  6. Inyoface July 11, 2018 9:23 am

Just got my Streets & Smith’s magazine, lot of talk on McKenzie.

  7. Stephen Tsai July 11, 2018 9:30 am

    Islandman:
Jawad, who was the manager last year?
    Yep, he’s walking on

  8. Stephen Tsai July 11, 2018 9:32 am

Not sure who’s covering the women’s team.

  9. Stephen Tsai July 11, 2018 9:36 am

    Inyoface
McKenzie was the nicest guy. The last time I talked to him was in December 2015. He said he was still coming to UH. And then … crickets. But I’m sure he’s still a nice guy.

Monday was Court Day for our 2 football players –

any word as to what happened ?

  11. Warbow July 11, 2018 10:15 am

Rolo needs to bring Oregon St 2.0 gear with him.

  12. islandman July 11, 2018 10:23 am

Thanks Stephen. How about Kobe (Young ) a walk-on ?
I think i see a former St Mary’s player and a St Mary’s student manager as the new grad managers for UH this season.

    Ai-ee-soos
    Case is still under investigation.

Stephen, you do realize that you’re staring at a possible “doubleheader” on Saturday, Dec. 22? UH vs. UNLV in the Diamond Head Classic at noon, followed by UH vs. TBD in the Hawaii Bowl at 5:30? Can do, just file your basketball story from the stadium press box before kickoff!

For da HADHC, I’d rather see us play URI , TCU or Colorado in the first rd. UNLV we could schedule some Home & Home stuff ….

As for the Wooden Legacy, either LaSalle or Northwestern would have been nice to see… Utah a good draw, think we could have a chance against them, their roster been revamped with 7 new players

Like the recruiting the East again, could fine a Chris Gaines or Phil Lott type again …. kudos

Pundits like to say that everything T—— touches dies.

    And look.

    Belgium loses.

    England loses.

    It’s true, I guess.

I remember Jim Leahey saying, “If only Fabio Riberio had one more season.” I guess the JC transfer was green as a junior and showed improvement as a senior.

    Brazil, right.

    Portuguese.

I learned that Brazilians spoke Portuguese after buying an album featuring a Brazilian cultural movement and genre called Tropicalismo, curated by David Byrne of the Talking Heads.

Caetano Veloso, the Brazilian equivalent of Gabby Pahinui.

On laptop, can hardly see the print.

I remember how people grumbled that Fabio Ribeiro didn’t play like a true post player. Well, it turns out that Ribeiro was ahead of his time. If he were born 20 years later, he would be a highly coveted wing or stretch-4. A 6-10 guy who can shoot 3s and create off the dribble is perfect for today’s game.
