Middle sets looking good, sets out of system are horrible forcing hitters into silly hitting errors!

  3. Blunite October 18, 2019 8:15 pm

    This n’ that:

    – Set selection average.
    – After the block expect the tip
    – Endline uncovered

UC Riverside very scrappy, with a little direction they would have a better record.

  5. Crazy4WVB October 18, 2019 8:57 pm

Hi Cindy. Was there a recruit in the arena tonight?

  6. sports for fun October 18, 2019 9:16 pm

Maybe Na Wahine should bring in the recruits when Cal Poly and UCSB come to town and “The Stan” is rockin’!! Just a thought.

    6. And hopefully all players are healthy.

  8. shar October 18, 2019 9:47 pm

It was a good game. We struggled in set two but ironed it out and came back stronger than ever in set 3

  9. Cindy Luis October 18, 2019 9:52 pm

    5. yes. don’t know who it was.
    7. we’ll see if all our cleared by then.

Spectrum showed Keonilei in the stand wearing a UH sweater. Is she still in the running or she is a lock for USC?

    Just wondering.

  11. seasontixhlder October 19, 2019 11:19 am

Great job by the Wahine! Cindy, just wondering if the plain white/black jerseys that the wahine have been wearing are permanent? I thought I heard Kanoa Leahy say on broadcast during the first tournament that these were temporary and were awaiting the real jerseys?

How come Lindsey Ruddins is not playing vs Cal Poly ?

  13. Big Island Volleyball Fan October 19, 2019 5:03 pm

    12. Obviously UCSB didn’t need Lindsey Ruddins. They’re already is ahead two sets to none. Cal Poly is playing poorly, too many service errors and too many holes. Seems like UH fans will get their wish. UCSB Gauchos are on fire after UH spanked them last week. They won’t need her next week either. Perhaps they are trying to save her for the match with UH.

  14. Big Island Volleyball Fan October 19, 2019 5:41 pm

I admit I was wrong. The Cal Poly announcer at UCSB stated that Lindsey Ruddins has an undisclosed injury. Meanwhile, Cal Poly won the third set, so no sweep for UCSB. Cal Poly reduced its errors and is playing with a lot more energy. On to the fourth set. Mustangs fall behind badly. Too many miscues.

  15. Big Island Volleyball Fan October 19, 2019 5:55 pm

UH fans got their wish. UCSB won in four sets.

  16. Manoafan October 19, 2019 6:37 pm

Hmmm… Long Beach beat UC Irvine 3-0

  17. Bowsfan October 19, 2019 6:55 pm

Riddins sisters look alike, almost like twins. Since Ross played @ the same high school, easy for her, maybe not for the other teams. What a roller coaster season. Thank you USCB, now we have take care of business.

  18. noblesol October 19, 2019 7:20 pm

Irvine playing without L. Carter, injury. Unsure when she’ll be back, but doesn’t sound like anytime soon, and UCI will miss her much. UCI is playing for pride at this point.

    L. Ruddins didn’t play tonight, undisclosed injury, there was no comment on what the injury is, or when she might be back. But, it forced UCSB to find other ways to score against Cal Poly. They did, and they won. But, L. Ruddins is too good for them not to miss her going forward.

  19. Setaone October 19, 2019 7:47 pm

Rudd is arm must have fallen off after all the swings she has taken over her four years.

  20. darkfire35 October 19, 2019 8:02 pm

Cindy, any possibility about another setter (Other than Kate Lang) lined up for 2020? We could surely use someone with some D1 experience like we got from Oregon. I know they were looking at Hawaii anyway, but it would be nice to have a backup.
    GO BOWS!

  21. jmy October 19, 2019 8:52 pm

This Wednesday’s the big one: Baylor at Texas…always fun to see an upset, but a Baylor win would help UH…

  22. Cindy Luis October 19, 2019 8:58 pm

    10. as far as I know she’s still a verbal for beach at USC
    11. the “real’ jerseys are in. They haven’t worn them yet
12 et al. Ruddins had a slight injury going into match with Hawaii but played through it.
with some 20. you never know who might be available through the transfer portal. They need to have two setters so ….
