Go The Distance tour perfection was on the line on Saturday for the Hawaii women’s basketball team.

It came up a bit short.

The ATC Academy bested the Rainbow Wahine 55-41 in Sydney, as sophomore guard Jadynn Alexander was the only Wahine player in double figures, with 10 points. Yet UH headed home with a winning record, 3-1, having bested NZ Premiere North, NZ Premiere South, and Diamond Valley of SEABL over the last 10 days.

In the loss, Lahni Salanoa scored all of her nine points in the first quarter. No one else for UH had more than the six points of Myrrah Joseph.

UH was to fly home Saturday night and arrive the same day; the Wahine get a day back crossing the international date line.
