Hawaii’s sand volleyball team finished tied for third in the 2014 AVCA Collegiate Sand Volleyball National Championships in Gulf Shores, Ala. The SandBows’ Karissa Cook and Brittany Tiegs finished second in the pairs competition, falling to USC’s Kirby Burnham and Sara Hughes in the championship match on Sunday, May 4.


Tiegs, a junior, and Cook, a senior, were named All-Americans, along with teammates Katie Spieler, a sophomore, and Nikki Cook, a freshman.
