Wall of dreams

For inspiration, the Warriors can look to the wall of dreams — a newly installed display of former players and their NFL teams. Na Koa paid for the project, which is displayed in a corridor leading to the football locker room.

So do they only list the first year the former Bows make the NFL?

ST-just out of curiosity how far back? Also does it include drafted guys who never made it past training camp. If it goes all the way back and does include those guys then there is a ton of former teammates. Just wondering-

ST-think I answered my own question. Appears to follow those listed as draftees/signees listed in UH media guide gonna go back and look. Aside from the usual suspects one off he more intriguing characters was Rocky Pamplin/NO Saints. He later found fame as a Marlboro Man, Playgirl photo shoot, security/bodyguard for The Beach Boys -he was an RB one year transfer from Oregon-

Now that’s a wall worth building … just saying.

Lots of names there. Many more than people would think. A GREAT recruitment tool!

Happy Birthday to braddah braddah Koakane!

    GO WARRIORS!!!

Really liking that wall. Is it open for public viewing, or just for the team? I’d like to take a look!

I really like that wall…classy! I always felt that the Warriors needed to promote the accomplishments of former Warriors from days past.

Oh, just noticed! What a coincident that the photo centered on the Jets Plaque. How could that have happened? 😉

I forgot who they were. Past players. They weren’t all that, so I just forgot. Since when? 1974?

Coach Trapasso probably wouldn’t have sent out Dylan Thomas, who I like to call “The Franchise”, to pitch on Monday had he known the series would be moved up a day.

    Only eleven pitches, but still…

    Probably Kash Koltermann is unavailable.

    UC-Davis played Oregon and Creighton.

    Poor won-loss record somewhat misleading.

Great idea to promote and inspire the football team and recruits. Does the wall identify those who played for Super Bowl teams and how many SB rings they have?

Anyway, looking forward to this upcoming season. Go WARRIORS?

Good morning, Mr. Tsai, Coach Stutz, and KK! Looking good!

    GOOD MORNING, HAWAII!

Ferd’s story on how the MMA people were trying to get the Hawaii Tourist Authority to fork over $6M advance money for the fight – interesting.

Wonder if the HTA would consider, say a total of $3M to bring over a couple of football teams to play UH like Notre Dame, Alabama etc. Those teams might generate the income that one MMA fight would generate/

  15. suckkabooya April 5, 2018 9:29 am

Once there are better venues here the Tourism Authority can negotiate with more leverage. We need a good sized, versatile, multi-faceted, modern Stadium with a functional look to the parking area as well so that it too (swap meet, carnivals/fairs, conventions, rail user parking etc.) can create revenue. It wont be completed any time soon but when combined with the rail the Stadium can be used at least 300 days a year. With a little imagination the investment can be quite profitable.
