Lelie earns MBA … final hurrah for baseball seniors
Belated congratulations to Ashley Lelie, who earned an MBA last weekend.
Lelie is a Radford High graduate who joined the Warriors as a walk-on receiver. He entered the NFL draft following his junior year, was the 19th pick overall, and then enjoyed a pro career while earning a bachelor’s degree. After that, he coached for a few years before returning to UH to earn a master’s in business administration.

This is the final homestand for 12 UH baseball seniors and, possibly, a few juniors, and, maybe, a third-year sophomore.
* * * * *
This is the eighth senior class in a row in which every member has earned a bachelor’s degree. (The streak extends when a 2010 senior completes work on his degree.)
The credit goes to the player, of course, and Garrett Clanin, the team’s academic advisor.

Unfortunately, senior Neil Uskali is not expected to be available to pitch this weekend while he recovers from an arm ailment.

It’s always a sad time when the end of a season nears.
And by that, I mean “Mad Men.”
I’ve been binge-watching the show for two weeks. I’m down to the last episode.
That’s 4,214 minutes the past two weeks. Yeah, I have a lot of free time.
Who’s the 3rd year soph ?
Let’s not forget the real reason these young adults are in school.

Wondering if the Beaver recruiting debacle was reversed and the Warriors were the offending party. Can’t imagine the NCAA infraction would be a heck of a lot worst. What a bunch of crock shibai, “a clerical error”; yeah right!
Lastly, nice to see Parker make the cut this week on the Big Stage of the PGA! He’s been trying real hard, last year on the Web.Com tour.
