It’s a small world after all

So, this Disney-esque thing happened:
Defensive back Adam Netane, a recent grad of Orlando’s Bishop Moore Catholic High, was supposed to attend Army. But that arrangement fell through after signing day, and he was essentially a free agent. Then Vae Tata heard about the situation from Netane’s hanai brother, James Thomson. Tata and Thomson were on the same coaching staff at UCLA. Tata then calls UH defensive coordinator Corey Batoon. Soon after, Netane was invited to join the Warriors.
Netane reports on Thursday, the opening day of the Warriors’ training camp.
He is 6 feet, and anywhere between 165 and 170 pounds. He is projected to compete at corner, safety or nickel.
Downtown pep rally
If you’re in town around lunchtime today, head to downtown, where the UH athletic department will have a pep rally on the four corners of the King and Bishop intersection.
There will giveaways, and chances to bump fists with UH coaches and players.

    Welcome Adam!
Ha! We got our Netane this time!

Whoa, really like the morsels of news of late I don’t know what is more impressive, the potential and collective speed of these young men, the coaches for getting it done or for ST for slowly hand feeding the starved fans that we are. In any case, mahalo ST for satiating our hunger pains for Warrior football news!

    Go Warriors!

Liking all the quality walk ons & new additions coming on board, just in time for training camp ramping up.

Off subject, but hoping Star Advertiser cleans up its “spam” pop ups attached to its website. Those dang Amazon winner claims keep appearing. Always appears after going online edition of HSA. Anyone else getting hit.

This is a big roster makeover. No slight but I think we’ve gained more than lost. The new staff has to be a major part of evaluation process. No loss for guys who don’t want to be here, no loss for guys who can’t stay eligible and no loss for guys who get suspended for stupid behavior. So that being said stil waiting on news of a few key recruits and also resolution of a pending matter-also looking forward to unveiling new uniforms to help make makeover more complete!!!!

Leonard Peters used to do the fire dance, if I recall correctly. He was a pretty good player for UH, too.

Haka & ST – try being stuck INSIDE the ride for about a half hour with the boasts not moving and the song playing over and over! NOT FUN! Now being stuck in the Pirates of the Caribbean, that’s another story! 🙂

Welcome to all the new Rainbow Warriors! Time to grind for opening day!

Imagine Davone Bess and Jeff Sydner playing along side Ursua. I think it has a chance to happen soon (Ward lll and Byrd). Optimism. (maybe l had too much Kool aid). Terrific.
