Game Day: Nevada

Today’s opponents are hopeful of ending significant losing streaks.

The Warriors have lost three in a row, a 35-day span dating to Sept. 2. The Wolf Pack is zip-for-2017.

Both teams are slow starters.

But the Warriors have the edge in stability — Dru Brown will be making his 16th consecutive start; Ty Gangi will make his fourth start after bouncing on the depth chart from No. 1 to No. 3.

The Warriors will be without tight end Metuisela ‘Unga, who suffered a season-ending ankle injury. The Pack’s Brandon Scott is iffy; he is the team’s best off-set blocker.

And two teams that have struggled in on special teams will seek answers in Reno’s 4,506-foot elevation.

Feel free to chime in.

someone posted earlier that CSU stacked the middle — unfortunately, UH pass plays were to the flat instead of down field — is OC being too cautious?

not confident, after 7 games, UH defense will come through — wondered why DC called alignment with no DL in the “red zone” at the north end zone against CSU — lots of LBers – front 4 was not making significant penetration into the backfield — rationale is LBers can do a better job?

If you plan to attend the UH game in Reno today; buy a ticket in Section L or M; this is where Hawaii fans are sitting including my group of almost 40 fans who are in L, between rows 15-21.
My friend, Rolo’s mom Lori, will be there with her group of 60 family members and friends.

GO WARRIORS; THIS IS A MUST WIN GAME!

  14. Sangamon Keith October 7, 2017 11:41 am

Perspective … Colo State is giving high powered Utah State a whipping this week like they gave UH last week. Just maybe they are that good and we’re competive with the rest of our remaining opponents.

Anyway, my prediction remains 52-20 win for the UH.

    like they gave to UH

I wonder what today will bring in the way of total offensive yardage … I would guess 500+
512 total yards against Colorado State
    450 total yards against Wyoming
    515 total yards against UCLA

Anybody saw the BYU Boise state game when the guy jumped over the blockers to block the punt and hit the punter after he punted and no flags. Hawaii did half a jump to that on the blockers and got a flag!

  23. seewhy October 7, 2017 2:40 pm

    RE #13

    I would not consider 27 – 14 a “whipping.”

  24. seewhy October 7, 2017 2:42 pm

Watching the UCF vs. Cincy game. Makes me wish Milton didn’t decommit… He can actually hit his receivers in stride.

  25. What? October 7, 2017 2:48 pm

Offense still sputtering. No passing game. Our defense will need help.

  32. Buffoman October 7, 2017 5:07 pm

Here we go again. Defense just cannot defend. Awful.

  33. Uhfan09 October 7, 2017 5:25 pm

Get rid of Brian smith so predictable

  34. azwarrior22 October 7, 2017 5:32 pm

    We have no defense.

  35. MattyBoy October 7, 2017 5:32 pm

    Wow Hawaii sucks big time!

  36. Uhfan09 October 7, 2017 5:32 pm

    Defense what defense

  37. azwarrior22 October 7, 2017 5:32 pm

Making Nevada QB look like an all-star.

  38. MattyBoy October 7, 2017 5:33 pm

Still don’t understand how the DC and OC for Hawaii are still calling plays. Hawaii looks horrible.

  39. Buffoman October 7, 2017 5:40 pm

This is very hard to watch. Defense is terrible and its more on coaching. Seems like every time the opponent gets the ball they will score. We can’t stop them. In the last drive Nevada stopped themselves.

  40. What? October 7, 2017 5:41 pm

This is a must win game. Let’s see if Hawaii wants it more than Nevada. From the looks of the 1st half, looks like Nevada wants it more. Let’s go defense. It looks like Nevada’s offense can do whatever it wants with Hawaii defense.

Hawaii has another chance on offense after Nevada’s botched field goal attempt. Let’s go offense. Get a aTD.

  41. z October 7, 2017 5:44 pm

We would be dead without Ursua.

  45. What? October 7, 2017 5:51 pm

TD Hawaii. Okay back on defense again. Let’s go defense. Help out the offense.

  46. MikeY October 7, 2017 5:54 pm

    Wow
    Another 66 he run
    Plus 17 he TD
    Give um right back

  47. z October 7, 2017 5:54 pm

Nope. No defense. Bad scheme. Worst defense I have ever seen at UH.

  48. azwarrior22 October 7, 2017 5:55 pm

    Fire our DC…our Defense sucks.

  49. MikeY October 7, 2017 5:56 pm

    Where is the Defence?
    No where
Making it harder than it is!!l

  50. MattyBoy October 7, 2017 5:56 pm

Wow this is the worst defense I’ve ever seen for Hawaii!!! This DC is still calling plays?? I can’t believe it! They have the worst defense in the country!!

  51. Buffoman October 7, 2017 5:57 pm

Was that 3 or 4 plays and a touchdown? Seriously ST. Louis HE can score on our defense. No other word except, awful.

  52. MikeY October 7, 2017 5:58 pm

    It’s Offense against Offense
Will be an interesting High scoring game!

  53. What? October 7, 2017 6:00 pm

Hawaii defense is not playing their best game. The defense is giving up way too much yards.

A 14-14 tie. If this continues, it definitely favors Nevada. It looks like the last team with the ball will win.

  54. Buffoman October 7, 2017 6:02 pm

Really all our offensive yards mean nothing if we cannot force a team to punt. And now the penalties.

  55. Winning October 7, 2017 6:02 pm

Legi wont make it past this season. My prediction

  56. MikeY October 7, 2017 6:04 pm

    What Allen again
    2 in a row?
    And Pose thrown out?

Where RU Naeole we need U!

  57. m October 7, 2017 6:04 pm

    Our team has no discipline.

  58. azwarrior22 October 7, 2017 6:04 pm

Wow, penalties again are killing us.

  59. Buffoman October 7, 2017 6:06 pm

    This team has no discipline.

  60. What? October 7, 2017 6:08 pm

I don’t think it’s the worse defense. That game against AF with a 59 or 58 to 7 loss was horrible.

The penalties are destroying this team’s chances of winning. They should open up all positions again and have everyone earn their positions back. If the players don’t like it, too bad. Next man up.

This game is hard to watch.

  61. MikeY October 7, 2017 6:09 pm

TD taken away from St Justeis
    A BIG LET DOWN!
Offensive Line needs to come together second half

  62. MikeY October 7, 2017 6:10 pm

    Another player kicked Out?
    How’s next?
It’s going go be a long night

  63. azwarrior22 October 7, 2017 6:11 pm

Our defense is woeful…we are getting beat all day.

  64. MikeY October 7, 2017 6:11 pm

Looks like Reno going a head
    To locker room?
    Very disheartening

  65. H-Man October 7, 2017 6:13 pm

I am now guessing that Chris Naeole’s resignation about discipline is that Rolo is too soft. These penalties are outrageously immature.

  66. MikeY October 7, 2017 6:14 pm

Because of what happened in Law Vegas
    Ref wants Nevada to Win
    You heard me here first
Hawaii will have a record Penalty tonight

  67. Sausage McMuffin with Eggs October 7, 2017 6:14 pm

Nevada on Hawai’i’s 6 yard line. 00:23 seconds left. Penalty. 1st and goal on 2, Nevada. TD Nevada, 21-14 Nevada. Half time. 00:19 seconds left in half time. Hawai’i sucked. Hawai’i receive the ball.

  68. 808bowler October 7, 2017 6:15 pm

Really really bad football rn. Doesn’t have a good outlook.

  69. Buffoman October 7, 2017 6:15 pm

I swear our opponents can leave their punters at home. We can’t defend anyone. I don’t know if we can win with this non defensive team.

  70. Ipu Man October 7, 2017 6:16 pm

  71. Jack Flash October 7, 2017 6:16 pm

Wow- that was basically a 14 point swing. Bad calls by the refs as well.

  72. MattyBoy October 7, 2017 6:18 pm

My prediction of Hawaii winning was way off. They’re definitely not going to win this game. This is so embarrassing to watch.

  73. Sausage McMuffin with Eggs October 7, 2017 6:19 pm

6 penalties, nullified 2 TDs, gave 2 Nevada 1st downs, in last 2:00 minutes to half time. I’d say a bad game for Hawai’i.

  74. mileHIwarrior October 7, 2017 6:20 pm

    Speechless

    Hopefully #bumbaiWElearn

  75. What? October 7, 2017 6:20 pm

Playing horrible on national TV again. The discipline breakdown of this team is all on the coaches.

TD Nevada. Last week it was jv vs varsity analogy. This week?….

Horrible, horrible 1st half. This could make or break their season. I’m glad I didn’t have to pay for this game. Nevada is winless. But, it looks like they want it more.

5 penalties in a span of 5 or 6 plays. Wow, this team looks like it is imploding.

  76. Sausage McMuffin with Eggs October 7, 2017 6:24 pm

Were there any Nevada-Hawai’i fans tonight? almost 10:00 p.m. there. Horrible game on offensive line. 21-14 Nevada. Half time.

  77. Ipu Man October 7, 2017 6:25 pm

    Nevada the state of gangsters…
Prison stripes on the field 🙁

  78. Dave October 7, 2017 6:25 pm

I live on the East Coast and staying up so late to watch this garbage week in and week out is tough to stomach. No discipline, bad attitudes, defense looks confused and out if position, coaches quitting. At least the offense looks good as usual.

  79. DoubleB October 7, 2017 6:27 pm

Name change from Pride Rock, to Penalty Rock. The penalties and lack of defense are hard to watch.

  80. Uhfan09 October 7, 2017 6:28 pm

Our coaching staff is really bad

  81. Sausage McMuffin with Eggs October 7, 2017 6:29 pm

Maybe they can bring back Norm Chow. You think?

Some thoughts on Hawai’i; Looking to Make friends after the game. Looking to come back to Hawai’i more in disarray. Looking to make a come back again, if they are to qualify for the Hawai’i bowl. Looking for a new OC.

  82. What? October 7, 2017 6:33 pm

Maybe the defensive play calling should be determined by pulling the plays out of a hat. Put all the defensive plays on 3×5 cards, place it in a bag and before each play, pull out a card and call that play. It couldn’t be worse than what we are seeing tonight.

  83. What? October 7, 2017 6:34 pm

OC is fine. It is the DC.

  84. What? October 7, 2017 6:41 pm

Penalty again Hawaii. Nevada is going to score on their 1st drive of the 2nd half.

  85. Next October 7, 2017 6:45 pm

    Going to watch Wahine game
But they might lose tonight 2

  86. What? October 7, 2017 6:49 pm

3rd down again for Nevada. Now, it’s 4th down. 1st down Nevada. Last year Hawaii won against winless Fresno st on a blocked kick. I don’t think they will be that lucky this time in Nevada.

Another 3rd down. It’s 4th and 4 for Nevada. Finally, Hawaii gets the ball back.

  87. azwarrior22 October 7, 2017 6:50 pm

This is hard to watch. Our defense is so bad.

  88. Sausage McMuffin with Eggs October 7, 2017 6:50 pm

Hawai’i gets the ball back. 3rd quarter, on their own 25 yard line.

  89. Sausage McMuffin with Eggs October 7, 2017 6:55 pm

I guess Ammon Barker #80 doesn’t need friends. Mid-field. Punt.

  90. Sausage McMuffin with Eggs October 7, 2017 6:58 pm

Hawai’i is too text book. They lack natural speed. They need more blocking and defense. Score will be theirs to take.

  91. Shaka808 October 7, 2017 7:02 pm

No pass rush, no speed, cant play man to man or tackle, offense would be fine if they could stop the penalties that kill promosing drives. 3 years of bad recruiting adding up.

  92. Sausage McMuffin with Eggs October 7, 2017 7:03 pm

10:00 p.m. in Reno, Nevada. Still 3rd quarter. Dry Brown needs to score. Really.

  93. Buffoman October 7, 2017 7:06 pm

Wow, they made the team punt!

  94. Buffoman October 7, 2017 7:08 pm

    Offense good? Interception!

    Just bad.

  95. azwarrior22 October 7, 2017 7:15 pm

Defense gives up a TD on 4th and 7…really bad !

  96. Dave October 7, 2017 7:17 pm

    Nice run DSJ!

  97. What? October 7, 2017 7:20 pm

Wow, St Just TD. Come on defense. Do your job. I can’t believe it. Hawaii is still down by 7.

Let’s go defense. Here we go again. Get a stop.

  98. 808bowler October 7, 2017 7:37 pm

Please take brown out. He been sucking the last 3 games

  99. MattyBoy October 7, 2017 7:38 pm

    Rolovich is embarrassing. Period.

  100. azwarrior22 October 7, 2017 7:40 pm

    We can’t stop the run.

    We can’t stop the pass.

We get no pressure on QB.

    We shoot ourselves with penalties.

    No Defense. Fire the DC.

  101. Buffoman October 7, 2017 7:40 pm

Penalties, bad defense, sputtering passing game. Losing to a winless team does not make the possibility of a winning season a possibility.

  102. NorthShoreFan October 7, 2017 7:41 pm

not sure what the safety was looking at…corner covered outside short…receiver went fly, safety was picking his nose before he realized hey…theres a receiver down field…too late…TD.

  103. auwe October 7, 2017 7:48 pm

UH is making the nevada qb look like tom brady.

  104. What? October 7, 2017 7:48 pm

Bad coaching, bad plays, bad decisions on penalties. Discipline is definitely a problem with this team. There is more to what we see surrounding coach Naeole quitting. This team has no discipline.

After a 7-7 season and a Hawaii bowl victory, I thought Hawaii was sure ready to turn the corner. Nope. Back to whatever they do at practice.

  105. Buffoman October 7, 2017 7:49 pm

We are imploding. We may be setting a school record for most penalty yards in a game. If this is not an embarrassing point for the coaching staff well…

  106. enuff already October 7, 2017 7:49 pm

KUSAI !!!!! FLUSH THE TOILET !!!!!

  107. Ft808 October 7, 2017 7:51 pm

Defense is horrible…fired the DC rolo or your next! No excuses Legi is not a legit defensive coordinator…where coach Mack at!!?

  108. Tempmanoa October 7, 2017 7:53 pm

Hard to watch on both sides. Bad throw by Dru. He held the ball too long and his done that a few times this year. Defense gets burned repeatedly.

  109. Ft808 October 7, 2017 7:56 pm

Dru is not producing like last year, he thinks he got his spot sealed…open up the qb job again rolo cause this is brutal…give the other guys a chance!

  110. Sausage McMuffin with Eggs October 7, 2017 7:57 pm

8:xx left in game. Nevada in Hawai’i territory. Ty Ganges is the player of the game for Nevada. Putting the final few nails in the coffin for Nevada at 35-21 lead.

  111. Buffoman October 7, 2017 7:57 pm

Why not try the other qb? It’s bad already, even if it gets worse it may not be noticeable and we can see if he can play.

  112. Sausage McMuffin with Eggs October 7, 2017 8:00 pm

Final score now stands, Nevada 42 and Hawai’i 21. A bad day again Hawai’i. 2-4 record. 0-3 MWC. Maybe next week.

  113. azwarrior22 October 7, 2017 8:13 pm

Turn out the lights, the party’s over.

  114. NorthShoreFan October 7, 2017 8:16 pm

not sure if we’ll see fun and games from the coaching staff from here on out.

  115. Inyoface October 7, 2017 8:29 pm

Dru is a good backup at this point.

  116. Buffoman October 7, 2017 8:33 pm

Unless there is a major turnaround defensively, it will be a struggle to be successful going forward. Can’t give up the kind of chunk yards on a regular basis. If there was somewhat of a bright spot, our special team did okay, if not for that ridiculous unnecessary targeting play.

  117. H-Man October 7, 2017 8:36 pm

I didn’t need to watch the whole game (watching Wahine VB), but this team is really looking and feeling like the 2015 team.

  118. What? October 7, 2017 8:39 pm

I never thought it would make much of a difference between Kevin Lempa and this new DC. But, the defense looks lost and out of position. They just lost to a winless team. Well, now they have 1 win.

I get that Rolo wants to promote the program by doing all this stuff in the community. It was a nice change from Chow. But, maybe he should take care of things in house and address the penalties and lack of discipline on this team.

Right now, this team is difficult to watch.

  119. Old School Dave October 7, 2017 8:56 pm

Fact of the matter is that UH is still in a rebuilding mode. The fact that UH always seems to make bad teams look like world beaters pisses me off. Sick of this. Maybe this team started to believe the preseason predictions too much that it got to their heads.

MWC refs are out to flag UH O-linemen for hands to the face. Maybe playing those true freshmen may not be a bad idea on the O-line. Take their lumps with some OJT and build for 2018.

Still, 6 more games to play, though. The sun will come up tomorrow.

  120. What? October 7, 2017 9:25 pm

This on going cycle of rebuilding will continue. The state cannot fully invest in the type of money the football team and the athletics program needs to do well every year. The state has its hands full with bailing out the city with that 11 billion dollar train. There are no business owners like Nike phil knight on Oahu. And, there is certainly not enough people to support the program at the stadium week in and week out to fill the stands. The June Jones days are long gone. The landscape of college athletics is who has the most money wins. Hawaii doesn’t have any money.

All good coaches eventually leave for greener pastures at other football programs. The top high school players leave Hawaii for better opportunities. Hawaii football is left with choosing from the players that don’t get picked up by the major programs. Hawaii cannot even compete with Boise State, CSU and San Diego St within their own conference.

When Chow got hired, we said we need more time. Now Roll got hired, we say we need more time. Last year was a nice run. But, eventually the law averages prevail. This football program has shown to be average at best over the 40 plus years with the occasional exceptional years with Tomey, Wagner, and Jones. But, overall Hawaii is an average program at best. The school and state doesn’t have the money to fund a top football program.

  121. Kev-1 October 7, 2017 9:35 pm

However anyone wants to spin it, it doesn’t matter. This is a bad football team. Undisciplined, poorly coached, and seemingly getting worse week by week. I also dont care what anyone has to say, Dru Brown is not a D1 QB. No, he’s not nearly the only problem we have, but he does seem to make poor decisions when they hurt the most.

I need to be convice that this team will win anymore games this year. They were hanging heads by the end of the first half already.

  122. What? October 7, 2017 9:47 pm

We were looking at IW during the chow era and thinking it couldn’t get any worse. When Dru Brown came along, he was a step above IW and everyone thought he was the person the QB that will take the team to another level. After seeing mediocrity for a long time, it’s sometimes hard to distinguish average from excellence. This team is on a spiral nose dive. I wouldn’t be surprised if San Jose St runs the ball down their throats next week at homecoming.

There’s always a silver lining. One thing for sure, there will be ample parking at Aloha Stadium next game.

  124. Coach DB October 7, 2017 10:10 pm

I told you guy’s last week that this DC was in over his head, he’s no Coach Lemp!
Hawaii should look in another direction, but that’s what happens you don’t spend money!
Btw why dosen’t the school have money? Lot’s of tourist when I come to visit!!! Chow’s impact almost over then we’ll see what Hawaii under Rolo really looks like!!!

  125. What? October 7, 2017 10:33 pm

124, why doesn the school or the state have money? Did you see that overpriced monstrosity called the rail transit being built? The state is bailing out our city for their stupid decision of building the rail.

There are better ways to spend state money. The state could have used that money to build a new football stadium and invest in our only football program in Hawaii. Instead, we are stuck with the bill of building the rail which the we and the generation ahead will probably pay in perpituity.

The state will eventually lesson the athletic funding to the school.

I think Naeole left because Rolo is soft on the rules. He wants to be the nice guy and not be the bad guy. It shows on the field. Look at all the penalties. That is the result of lack of discipline. The honeymoon period is over for Rolo.

  126. seewhy October 7, 2017 10:44 pm

    Under 20,000 for homecoming?

  127. islandman October 7, 2017 10:45 pm

The offense only scored 3 TD’s for the third game in a row. All that yardage, but only 21 pts.

  128. burro sabio October 7, 2017 10:49 pm

There’s just not enough speed on defense. When is Mageo returning?

  129. cappie the dog October 7, 2017 11:25 pm

    Dru Brown is competent.

    IW reminded me of GF.

Instead of predicting the final score, may I suggest we predict Dioceme St. Juste’s rushing yardage?

We don’t want to be Perry & Price.

    Fire Rolo!!!!

  131. Whats up October 8, 2017 4:52 am

I rewatched the game and this team is still shooting itself in the foot, the defense secondary (Corners) are not playing at D1/FBS level. Hawaii needs to find replacement for Noale and get those O-Line penalties under control. Hawaii seriously needs to find another Defensive Coordinator soon, this defense is giving up way to many big plays and big penalties. I mean the defense is on the field way to long because they can’t stop anyone.

Hawaii QB Dru Brown reminds me of Bryant Moniz, great wheels, very very accurate, very good decision maker, tough as nails tough but doesn’t have the big cannon arm to throw the deep ball. So most defenses defend the run game, short/medium pass routes because they are not afraid of the deep ball. I’m not saying Dru can’t throw a deep pass with anticipation and timing but is you ask him to throw/drive the deep ball to an open last second he just doesn’t have the arm strength for that. But Dru Brown is too good of a leader and QB to be blamed for the Hawaii losing streak. And can’t blame Diocemy St Juste, Jon Ursua, Ammon Barker and the Hawaii WR corps for the Hawaii losing streak either.

The Hawaii Offense is carrying this team, special teams is also carrying this team but the defense is porous and the dumb penalties (shooting themselves in the Okole). Rolo is having his Sophomore slump that June Jones felt as well. But thats no excuse Rolo needs a new Defensive Coordinator and O-line coach to fix the 2 areas that plagued this season.

  132. What? October 8, 2017 6:17 am

This feels like 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 season all over again. Rolo is not going anywhere. Hawaii will win or lose with him. There is no money. But, he seriously need to consider getting a more experienced DC. And, stop being the nice guy. If you have to lay down the hammer, do it. The discipline problems are showing up on the football field.

Let’s see what this team is made of with 6 games left.

  133. Old School Dave October 8, 2017 6:43 am

    Deep breaths.

St. Juste has 890 yards after 6 games. He had over 200 yds last night vs Nevada, but had a 75 yd TD called back due to a hands to the face penalty. UH needs to clean this up, pronto as it’s gotten ridiculous. Again, maybe get those big freshmen O-linemen into the rotation and let em take their lumps and gain experience.

Bringing in an experienced DC will take some doing, financially. Realistically, UH can only attract up-n-coming young coaches at the lower levels (which is not necessarily a bad thing, but if they’re good, they’ll leave soon) due to the low salaries (lowest in FBS). Just name dropping, but If they can gather some resources (boosters), perhaps they could attract someone like former OSU & Nebraska DC Mark Banker (who’s not coaching now). Banker also coached at UH under Wags. Tough get, though. However, I remember when Dick Tomey brought in DC Doug Kay in 1980 after he got let go from UCLA. Kay was an outstanding DC, could rally his players, and a good guy (personally met him).

In the meantime, there are still 6 games to play.

No suggestions-no complaints only observations. That loss along with the past two tells me more than one defensive coach is over his ski’s. Flat footed out of place and confused is what I observed. Not ready to play ill prepared and lack of emotion. The penalty tally is absurd. Again only an observation but this team has two wins one against a winless team the other over an FCS team. With performance like yesterday I do not see another this year-that causes me great pain to say that-

  135. Old School Dave October 8, 2017 7:19 am

    Sun came up this morning.

Looks like the dreaded sophomore slump in progress (like 2000).

UH did managed to pay former DC Thom Kaumeyer $250K, which was the highest salary paid to any assistant at Manoa. Unfortunately, he was shown the door, along with Tony Tuioti (now at Cal) after the 2013 season. Interestingly, Kaumeyer has attended practices at UH under Rolo’s watch. Hope there are some extra resources available.

No sense whining and bitching as they’ll only end up back at square one. Gotta get to work to fix this by coming up with solutions to these problems.

  136. Postmanke October 8, 2017 7:48 am

We almost led the NCAA last year with most penalties per game and we are well on our way to be in the top 5 again this year. This trend is hard to stop and I expect this will continue. Let’s be real team rules are team rules. You break them you you pay a price. If that price is not harsh or if it waivers from player to player, players will sense weakness and continue to break rules. It might be worth the risk to them if it’s a game or two. When you have players or worse yet starters being yanked suddenly It’s adding chaos to the teams mental ability to play the game with focus. It’s breaking the team. Im sure there will be a player meeting following this. The season can be saved. If I was a captain or captains I would suggest to the coaches let me handle the discipline, let me handle suspensions. Let the team deal with disciplinary actions. Trust me the players know who’s who. It’s a team issue, a focus issue but mostly a player issue. They know the ones showing up late or not giving 100% change can happen but it’s not going to come from the coaches. It has to be a team decision. Hope the team can find a way to have fun and fly around the field with focus and intensity when we do that less mistakes happen and we win more than lose. We clearly have good athletes that can perform on another level. This team is good!

  137. Miguel October 8, 2017 7:53 am

It is certainly disheartening to watch the team implode. It seems to me that our defense is always out of position, and why such little pressure on the opposing quarterback. Maybe as the CBS analysts opined we should simplify the defensive schemes.

  138. auwe October 8, 2017 8:25 am

it’s one thing for the team to have a down year or be just flat out bad. that’s okay and expected. but the way the team played with the stupid penalties and flat out confusion on defense… sure the players are an issue, but this is on the coaches. That nevada game was an embarassment and it was worse because it was on national tv
