Ewaliko preparing for pro day

Whatever happened to people saying, “maui no ka ‘oi” or “lucky you live Hawaii” or “bumbai”?

Anyway, one of Maui’s own — Keelan Ewaliko — is training under Kealoha Pilares, a former Warrior and Carolina Panther. Ewaliko hopes to run a respectable 40 at UH’s pro day on March 20.

Pilares said he is willing to demonstrate all his skills, including kicking.

Here’s an interesting piece of info I acquired from a former teammate-as a freshman in 1970 we had a young recruit by the name of Scott Swift-he was from Pennsylvania and lasted one semester or maybe the first year…..my former teammate informed me his daughter achieved a degree of success in the music industry-Taylor Swift! Interesting tidbit of info cause I have little else to do but stare out the window after shoveling 3 mores inches of snow to go along with the foot or so already on the ground! To think I played golf here just two weeks ago. I’m so jealous-GoWarriors

A few years ago there was a story on Scott Swift and his relationship with his daughter. Scott had a financial business and helped his daughter with financial matters early in her career. She gave her parents a gift of a fancy million plus home. Some time after, that she gave her parents a larger more expensive home– mansion. My only connection to Taylor Smith–about 3-4 years ago Taylor Smith moved into a city town house very near where I was living at the time. She remodeled that house so she could stay in it temporarily while she remodeled the apartment she lived in about a mile away next to one or more apartment units owned in the building– she was combining two or three units into one. Anyway I passed her on the street and we said hi.

Good luck to Keelan! I’m sure he can play at the next level in one of the leagues!

Scott Swift graduated from Delaware in 1974 but is not listed on the football rosters.
