Warrior Beat: Lineman provides blanket coverage
Defensive lineman Foi Shaw’s dog, Haven, loves to steal his blanket at night.
Shaw and his family decided every dog should enjoy such creature comforts. They made it a pet project to donate blankets to the Humane Society. This past week, they fulfilled that pledge turning over 100 blankets donated by Delta Air Lines and American Airlines.
“I love animals,” Shaw said. “My family and I took it upon ourselves to help give dogs extra care.”
UH coach Nick Rolovich said: “We knew he was a good guy. I didn’t know he was an incredible guy. The more you get to know him and how he approaches every day, he’s very conscientious. He wants to do the right thing for everyone around him. He believes in servant leadership, you can tell. I’m happy for him. I’m happy he’s with our team.”
Shaw was known as Foi Sila as a Farrington High student. He is finalizing changing his surname to Shaw.
Foi changed his last name from Sila to Shaw?
Ok I only now saw the final sentence.

Yep. I think Shaw is the surname of an uncle and aunt.
“Foi” gets some reporters excited. It’s the acronym for “freedom of information.” That’s the request filed that supposedly gets state institutions to release contract info.

Chicken Grease (per TV ad idea)
You’re right, they are probably to long for TV ads. But they are just ideas meant to get peoples minds rolling to the potential of marketing. There are other opportunities that are available such as You Tube and other various platforms. Maybe they can use the (HCC I think) Theatre program and Video Production programs to reduce costs, maybe even offer Project Class Credits for it. The main object of the “Joe’s house crew” was to attract a younger fan base (even as young as children) that is important for UH’s future. Coach Rolovich has everything headed in the right direction and the Stadium can fill now that there is some Success, but we need to put some effort to reach a younger audience for our future. This is the time to strike while the “fire” is “hot”. Got to be ready by next season.
Next year is the “Hot” year. Everything got to be ready. All the Promotions (TV, radio, news media, print media, in Stadium promos, and any other various outlets that can be used for advancement). We got to execute. So important. Coach Rolovich is executing his end of the “process”. I think we can do it.

Stunning. Poor Coach Frost. I guess that’s why it took two years before Coach Rolovich could implement his offense. You need the right types for your collective systems.
The offensive coaches got to figure out how to get Jo Jo Ward off of press coverage. I know its freeing up others but he is such a playmaker and it should be an uncomplicated adjustment. He needs a “re-breakout” game to regain the swagger that he’ll need during conference play (and needed last week frankly). They can do it. This is the right time to work it out.
I think we need a “Ladies Night” promotion one day. Especially on the Homecoming game (or the home game that intersects Halloween). Maybe 50% off or something. Every good Nightclub knows when there are a lot of Ladies the Men will follow, especially homecoming game (“wink, wink”)
